D&B - Axis Bank Infra Awards 2011

Axis Bank, the third largest private sector bank in India and one of the leading arrangers of Infrastructure Finance in the country, partnered with Dun & Bradstreet, the world's leading provider of business information, knowledge and insight to launch the first ever D&B-Axis Bank Infra Awards 2011. These awards, held on October 17, 2011 at Mumbai, felicitated the leading infrastructure projects and infrastructure companies which have delivered exemplary performance. The winners were identified on various pre-defined parameters by an independent jury.

Award Categories & Eligibility

Project Awards

  • Eligibility :
    • Project must have been completed within the eligibility period of 5 years i.e. from April 1, 2006 to March 31, 2011
    • If project comprised of different phases, then for a particular phase of a project to be eligible, it needed to be fully completed and operational within the eligibility period
    • Project/phase must have been executed in India
    • Project Size should be more than Rs 50 crores
  • Sectors:

    The D&B - Axis Bank Infra Awards 2011 felicitated projects from the below mentioned sectors:

    • Roads & Highways
    • Railways
    • Airport Development
    • Port Development
    • Power Plants
    • Industrial Plants
    • Urban Infrastructure
    • Industrial Parks or SEZ


    • Besides the above mentioned sectors, projects were also recognized in following special categories:

    • Public Private Partnership
    • Social Impact
    • Environmental Sustainability
  • Awards Methodology:
    • Projects were evaluated based on nominations received from companies.
    • Companies could nominate their eligible project in any of the main award categories by sending nomination form and supporting documents.
    • Companies could showcase as many projects as they desired across the main award categories; however company could nominate only a maximum of two projects in any single award category

Nominations were presented to an independent Jury who then selected the award winners in each category by evaluating nomination form and supporting documents based on evaluation criteria.

Company Awards

  • Eligibility:
    • Companies with an annual total income for the eligibility period as per standalone financials of more than Rs.100 crores in FY2010-11 were eligible.
  • Sectors:

    Leading infrastructure companies from the following sectors were felicitated at the awards :

    • Construction - Infrastructure Development
    • Power Generation
    • Power Transmission
    • Power Distribution
    • Telecom Infrastructure

In addition to the above, one overall award was also presented to the "Best Performing Infrastructure Company".

  • Awards Methodology:
    • Companies covered in the D&B publication on "India's Leading Infrastructure Companies 2011" were evaluated based on the proprietary quantitative model, information for which was sourced and compiled from questionnaires circulated, company website and information available from public domain such as annual reports, industry bodies and associations, Government of India websites etc.
