NETSECURE
Double Security for your Online Fund Transfers
We at Axis Bank have always endeavored to provide the best of banking services to our customers. Our latest initiative is NETSECURE, which is a two factor authentication system to provide added security to your online banking transactions.
NETSECURE is a secured system, wherein two different parameters (one that you already know, like login id and password and second, a single usage password that you will receive while conducting the transaction) are used together to verify your identity on the Internet. Using two factors as opposed to one factor (just the login id and password) ensures heightened security for your online transactions.
It is mandatory to register for NETSECURE to transfer funds online. Once you are registered for NETSECURE, you will receive your NETSECURE Code - a single usage password, that will ensure double security for your online fund transfers. You can choose between three types of NETSECURE: NETSECURE with SMS (using your mobile phone), NETSECURE with WebPin (registration of a computer) or NETSECURE with 1-Touch (a small hardware device). This choice needs to be made when you register for NETSECURE online.

NETSECURE with SMS

In NETSECURE with SMS, the NETSECURE Code (a single usage password) is sent to your mobile phone through SMS. Every time you transfer funds or register a beneficiary (recipient) you need to enter the NETSECURE Code to complete the transaction, after which the Code will expire.
The SMS will also carry information such as the sender's account number; the recipient's account number and the transaction amount, so that you can verify the transaction details.
The NETSECURE Code needs to be entered along with your transaction password to complete the transaction which is now doubly secure.
NETSECURE Code would be required only for transactions above Rs. 5,000 or as may be decided by the Bank from time-to-time. However, it would be required for all beneficiary registrations.
How to Register:
To register for NETSECURE with SMS, you must first ensure that your mobile number is registered with the Bank.
If you currently receive SMS Alerts from us on your mobile, it means that your mobile number is registered with the Bank. If not, please visit your nearest Axis Bank ATM or Branch to register your mobile number.
Once you have ensured that your mobile number is registered with us, log in to Axis Bank Internet Banking and choose "NETSECURE with SMS" option on the registration page. Your NETSECURE registration is now complete.

NETSECURE with WebPin
|
To login using NETSECURE with WebPin, you need to register one or more of your frequently used computers. You can then use Axis Bank Internet Banking only from these registered computers. In addition, during registration, you will be prompted to set a WebPin. This WebPin will be used to generate the NETSECURE Code (a single usage password), which will be required to login to Axis Bank Internet Banking.
With the WebPin authenticated login, your online transactions are safe and doubly secure.
How to Register:
If you currently receive SMS Alerts from us on your mobile, it means that your mobile number is registered with the Bank. If not, please visit your nearest Axis Bank ATM or Branch to register your mobile number.
Once you have ensured that your mobile number is registered with us, log in to Axis Bank Internet Banking and choose "NETSECURE with WebPin" option on the registration page. Your NETSECURE registration is now complete.
How to activate:
Once you are registered for "NETSECURE with WebPin", you are required to register your computer(s) for Axis Bank Internet Banking usage. To register your computer(s), login through the particular computer. On login, you will be prompted to activate NETSECURE and a 6-digit activation code would be sent through SMS to your registered mobile number. Enter the activation code and follow two simple steps to set a WebPin (Please remember this WebPin to login from this computer in future). This WebPin would be used to generate the NETSECURE Code on the virtual keyboard. Your computer registration is now complete.
Note: You will be allowed to access Axis Bank Internet Banking only from the computer, through which you have done the WebPin registration.
To transfer funds online from any other computer, the same process will need to be replicated. For every computer registration, a new activation code will be sent to you through SMS.

NETSECURE with 1-Touch
|
NETSECURE 1-Touch is a small device that generates a unique NETSECURE Code (a single usage password) every time a button on it is pressed and held. This NETSECURE Code will have to be entered in addition to your login ID and password to login to Axis Bank Internet Banking. Every NETSECURE Code expires after 50 seconds and you have to generate a new code to login.
With 1-Touch device, your online access to Axis Bank Internet Banking is completely secure.
How to Register:
Login to Axis Bank Internet Banking and choose "NETSECURE with 1-Touch" option on the registration page. Your NETSECURE registration is now complete. You will receive the 1-Touch device at your registered address within 10 working days.
How to activate:
When you login to Axis Bank Internet Banking for the first time after receiving the NETSECURE 1-touch device, you will be prompted to enter the serial number (printed on the back of the device) and the NETSECURE Code (generated by you, using the 1-Touch device) to activate it. This process needs to be done only once.
Applicable Charges:
- Rs 800 plus taxes per 1-Touch device
- Replacement charges - Rs 500 plus taxes per 1-Touch device

Netsecure for NRI
In NETSECURE for NRI, you have to register online by mentioning your email id and passport number. After verification the Bank will activate Netsecure within 30 minutes. Post this, you have to register your frequently used computer and set your WebPin. You can then start transacting safely and securely. The detailed process for registration and transaction using NETSECURE for NRI is described below:
Registration for NETSECURE for NRI:
You have to register for 'NETSECURE for NRI' online on Axis Bank Internet Banking. If you are currently eligible to carry out fund transfer then you will be able to see the NETSECURE registration link, after logging into Axis Bank Internet Banking Welcome Page. On clicking this link, the registration screens would be displayed to you. During registration, you are required to provide your email id and your passport number. Your Passport Number will be verified with the Bank's record, based on which your registration request will be authorized / rejected. In case of rejection visit your nearest branch and update your new passport number.
After authorization, NETSECURE will be enforced on your Axis Bank Internet Banking account within 30 minutes. A confirmatory e-mail will also be sent regarding activation of NETSECURE on your Axis Bank Internet Banking account.
Login using NETSECURE for NRI
Once NETSECURE is enforced on your account, after login to Axis Bank Internet Banking, you will be prompted to register your computer(s). You need to follow the instructions on screen to activate WebPin on your computer, during which the Activation Code will be sent to your registered email ID. You have to enter this Activation Code for setting the WebPin, which will be required for login and to register a beneficiary for Fund Transfer, Power Transfer and Visa Transfer.
You can now do fund transfer safely using your WebPin.
