Floater benefit Unlike regular health insurance or mediclaim policies in the market, Family Health protects you and your family (spouse and up to 3 dependent children) under a single policy. Therefore, instead of taking individual policies for each of your family members, you and your whole family are covered under a single sum assured.

Hospital Cash benefits This add-on benefit will entitle you to cash benefits for every completed day of hospitalisation, which helps you take care of the increased financial burden incurred at the time of hospitalisation, such as loss of earnings away from work, and other expenses. You will receive Rs 500 or Rs 1,000 per day (as per plan opted) for a maximum period of 30 completed days, per policy period, regardless of number of confinements to the hospital or nursing home.

Cashless Facility In case of hospitalisation due to illness or accident, you and your family can avail of cashless hospitalisation facility (subject to exclusions and conditions). This facility is available at over 960 leading empanelled Hospitals* across India. If you opt for a non-empanelled hospital or nursing home, the expenses incurred by you will be reimbursed within 14 working days from submission of all documents (subject to exclusions and conditions).

Pre and Post Hospitalisation Expenses This policy covers relevant medical expenses incurred 60 days prior to and 90 days after hospitalisation.

Cumulative Bonus Every claims-free year under the policy will entitle cumulative bonus of 5% to your Sum Assured.

Ambulance Charges The policy covers ambulance charges in an emergency subject to a maximum of Rs 1,000.

Health Check up You will be entitled to a free health check up for a maximum amount of Rs 1,000 (per family) at the end of 4 continuous claims free years.

Income Tax Benefit Under Section 80 D of the Income Tax Act, you will be entitled to income tax benefit on the premium paid for this policy.

Cover for Pre-existing illness Any existing illness will be covered from the end of fourth continuous year of taking the policy only. However, prior to this period, pre-existing illness would be excluded.
