Axis Bank Leadership (ABLe)



Program Objective:

With a view to provide a platform to young, aspiring potential leaders to be a part of the flourishing and transforming banking industry, the bank has launched the Axis Bank Leadership Program. As a part of the program, bank connects with select colleges for acquiring talent for various roles in Corporate Banking, Retail Banking and Corporate Center. The Trainees then undergo a comprehensive Induction and Business Training program. This induction program helps easy assimilation of culture and ethos of the Bank whereas the training program helps the trainees to hit the ground running. The program offers opportunity to trainees to contribute meaningfully to growth of bank while enriching their business skills.

  • Placement Process: Job details are shared with empanelled institutes and students express their interest towards the various roles.
  • Placement Talk: This is on campus presentation to explain the Job details, CTC etc .
  • On basis on the applications received, Axis Bank HR will evaluate and shortlist the student profiles.
  • Interview Invite: On basis of the above preliminary shortlisting an interview invite is sent to all campuses for the selected students
  • Final Result communication - Interview result communication to the campus and students
  • Grade: The students are hired at a Deputy Manager (DM) Grade through this program

Important Dates: The placement drive is conducted in the month of November-December every year at various empanelled campuses.

Axis Bank Debut Program



The Debut Program is one of the Bank’s Academic interface programs. Through Debut we engage with the business schools of repute across the country for hiring of young talent. Debut has a structured training program which focuses on core banking.

Program Objective:

  • To provide a holistic perspective and help trainees develop as banking professionals
  • To build a strong talent pipeline for the Bank’s growing retail franchise via branch banking

Role Offered:

Students are hired for roles largely in the Branch Banking Network across the country (Customer service officer, Relationship Manager etc.)

Placement Process:

  • Campus recruitment invitation cum Job details email - This email is the first point of contact with the campus, expresses Bank's intent to recruit students from the campus. This email contains a presentation on Axis Bank, Job role being offered and CTC paid
  • Placement Talk: This is on campus presentation to explain the Job details, CTC etc
  • Test date Communication: There is an online test communication that is sent to the students about the test date and test venue
  • Test Result Communication: There is an email sent to all students shortlisted from the test
  • Interview Invite: Interview invite is sent to all campuses for the selected students
  • Final Result communication: Interview result communication to the campus and students
  • Grade: The students are hired at an Assistant Manager (AM) grade through this role

Axis Bank Young Bankers (ABYB)



Program Objective:

Axis Bank Young Bankers (ABYB) Programme is an endeavour by Axis Bank to nurture industry leaders of the future by imparting domain expertise and skill set in the field of Banking. The thrust of the course is to impart functional knowledge on General management, Soft skills related to overall behavior, sales & customer interactions and specialized knowledge on Banking related topics and subjects .On successful completion of the Young Bankers Program, the student  is awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Services by the University and an assured employment with Axis Bank at Assistant Manager grade with a gross salary of Rs. 4.01 lakhs per annum (This is inclusive of non-encashable Loan benefits and Indicative Performance linked Bonus plus Retrials).

Program Structure:

ABYB is a one year, full time residential programme which will be conducted at two training campuses, Manipal Global Education in Bangalore and Amity Global Business School in Noida. The classroom sessions will be of 9 month duration and Internship of 3 months can be at any Axis Bank branch/office across India. Young Bankers will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs.5,000/- per month for the first 9 months to meet the out of pocket expenses and Rs. 12,000/- per month during the internship towards their living expenses..

Grade:

The students are hired at a grade of Assistant Manager (AM)

We Lead



Program Objective:

Axis Bank, in order to strengthen the diverse work force in the organization has launched the Women Leadership Program (WE Lead) in association with the Indian Business School (ISB0. WE Lead is a leadership development program designed to attract, engage and develop the existing women talent of the PGP course at ISB, who are keen to pursue a career in the Banking sector. This program was run for the third time in the financial year 2014-15.

Program Structure:

The program consists of a two-day workshop which provides a forum for leadership development to all the applicants through self-reflection, interactive exercise, and discussions with senior leaders from Axis Bank and influential women leaders from all walks of life. Attendees of the workshop get a pre placement interview call for recruitment with Axis Bank.

Important Dates: The workshop and campus placement drive is conducted in the month of December every year at ISB campus – Hyderabad.

Axis Advantage

Axis Advantage Program is a Co Certification tie – up in banking with select B-Schools in the country designed to provide B-School students an ‘advantage’, as they gain industry relevant experience through an Axis Bank Specific course on banking, an internship enabling on-the-job learning and relevant certifications enhancing their understanding of the financial sector.

Program Objective:

  • To create Job ready talent pool for branch banking roles (Customer Service Officer/Relationship Manager)
  • To establish a long term connect with the B School students & facilitate smooth transition to Branch Banking roles at Axis Bank

Role Offered:

Students are hired for largely roles in the Branch Banking Network across the country (Customer service officer, Relationship Manager etc.)

Placement Process:

  • Phase 1: Selection of the students who wish to enroll in the program through an aptitude test. Shortlisted students go through a 40 to 100 hours of Certification program in Banking
  • Phase 2: Students who clear the course in Phase 1, are invited for a internship opportunity during the summer internship program
  • Phase 3: Students who complete both the Phase 1 and Phase 2, get a Pre Placement Interview (PPI)

Grade: The students are hired at an Assistant Manager (AM) grade through this role

Graduate Leadership Program (GLP)



Graduate Leadership Program (GLP) aims at attracting the best talent from the top graduate campuses in the country and provide them career growth opportunities and holistic development through a rotational program.

Program Objective:

  • Acquire talent at Graduate level from top graduate campuses in the country
  • Groom the GLP cadre with appropriate career progression opportunities and build a talent pipeline for the Bank

Role offered:

Roles at corporate office department in Finance & Accounts, Human Resource, Marketing, Risk, Retail Assets, Business Intelligence Unit, Business Banking, Audit

Placement process:

Specialised Campus Program

In addition to its flagship programs, Axis Bank also visits specialised campuses like the IITs for Analytics, ICAI for Chartered Accounts and CDAC for hiring IT professionals. The assignments offered are specialised and domain specific. The roles on offer range from Business Analysts, Risk Analysts for IIT professionals, Control Functions like Audit, Compliance, Finance, Credit, etc. for CA Professionals and Networking, Data Mining etc. for IT professionals. The hiring in this space is need based and as per requirements by the business.
