Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): This tests the student’s proficiency in English. Clearing this test will confirm that a student has the necessary English language skills to succeed in different academic settings. Over 130 countries worldwide accept TOEFL scores, including colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia. 

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - This test is a standardised English proficiency exam that non-native English speakers must clear if they are interested in studying, working or living abroad. The British Council conducts IELTS. Over 9,000 organisations across the globe, including educational institutes, employers and various professional bodies recognise IELTS. There are two types of IELTS exams, academic for educational purposes and general for employment purposes.
